Iran, Austria to expand cooperation to improve life quality in Tehran

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Tehran and Vienna plan to boost bilateral cooperation in a bid to improve the quality of life in Tehran.

Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and Mayor of Vienna Michael Haupl discussed fields for bilateral cooperation.

Ghalibaf called for bilateral cooperation between Iran’s Bank Shahr and Vienna Bank for joint investment and improving quality of life style.

He also said the two sides can work in transportation, trash recycling, tourism, air pollution, education and transferring experiences.

He also said a joint workgroup would be formed by the two cities for talks with banks, economic delegations and urban experts and defining upcoming projects.

Michael Haupl, for his part, called for improving mutual cooperation, and said signing an agreement would be a good step for mutual cooperation and continuing experts talks.

Haupl further called for cooperation in infrastructure, urban technology, tourism, science and culture.

“Banking cooperation could help guaranteeing joint projects and ensure investors,” he said.
